Vintage airline posters takeoff during lockdowns. There’s nothing like being unable to travel to make one long for it. Since the worldwide pandemic lockdowns began in 2020, many people had to adapt from taking vacations to dreaming about vacations. There’s been an explosion in home decoration featuring vintage posters and specifically travel posters. We have seen a massive uptick in interest in collectible vintage travel posters, which satisfy our need for happy, healthy homes.
The Faux Posters In Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
I thoroughly enjoyed the 2019 Quentin Tarantino movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, and I especially enjoyed the use of vintage style movie posters within the film itself. The lead character, Rick Dalton, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, is an actor in late 1960’s Hollywood. Rick Dalton owns posters of his films and displays them in his home. As you are watching the film you will see these faux movie posters on set and also flashed on the screen to show the various movies Rick Dalton has acted in.

War time posters are a great blend of practicality with art. They had a real practical purpose - convey the government message to the public, but they didn’t just dash off a quick and amateur job. It was important that the message really resonate with the viewers. Some are completely text based, but most are a combination of image with text.
