This poster is associated with the title Godzilla 1985, and sometimes The Return Of Godzilla, but this is the poster from the Japanese film titled just Godzilla (ゴジラ, Gojira, lit. Godzilla) which is a 1984 tokusatsu kaiju film, produced by Toho. It is not a sequel, it is a reboot of the original 1954 film. Released in Japan on December 15, 1984 and in America (the American cut) on August 23, 1985 (info from wikizilla.org) The American poster uses the same artwork but the title reads Godzilla 1985, and the credits are in English.
There are a multitude of differences between the Japanese movie and the American cut, too many to list here. There is no Raymond Burr in this original Japanese version, as in the 1954 original; although he was in the American version.
This Japanese B2 poster measures approximately 20 by 29 inches (51 by 73 cm) This poster was never folded, is now linenbacked and some minor edge wear has been restored.
